Photography, for me, begins long before the shutter is released. It starts with structure, where light, composition and atmosphere work together to create images with intention. I see photography not as the act of recording reality, but as the deliberate construction of a visual language.
I'm Diego Vázquez, a Mexican photographer specializing in commercial, editorial and portrait photography. Influenced by classical painting, cinematic composition and contemporary visual culture, my work explores how light, visual balance and atmosphere shape the way we perceive an image.
Rather than adapting my style to every commission, I have developed a consistent visual language that translates across portraits, editorial assignments, food, product and personal projects. Every photograph follows the same principle: every element must have purpose, every composition must guide the eye, and every image should leave a lasting impression.
Whether collaborating with brands, artists or publications, I approach every project with the same discipline and attention to detail applied to my personal work—creating photographs that are built with intention, not simply captured.
